How to import a loan from the Origination module?

This assistant will help you easily and accurately transfer all pertinent information from a selected loan in the Loan Origination module to the Loan Servicing module of The Mortgage Office®.

Importing a loan from the Loan Origination module to the Loan Servicing module is done in one smooth transfer. With a few clicks of a button, move a loan and important loan information from Loan Origination to Loan Servicing. 

To import a loan from the Loan Origination module to running Loan Servicing:

  • Click on image-png-Jun-21-2023-07-12-08-9707-PM Loan Origination in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®. 
  • From the drop-down menu, select Loans, then Loans by Status, then Closed.
  • From the grid, select the loan you want to export.

TIP: If the loan you want to export is not visible, use the grid's page-scroll bar to scroll the contents, or click FindSearch icon box Find in the upper right to search for the loan by entering your own search criteria. For additional information see How to Use Find and How to Use the Data Grids.

  • Click bolt-solid Actions at the top of the page and select Export Loan to Servicing. This will bring up the Loan Export Assistant.
  • The Loan Account Number field will auto-populate with the account number from Loan Origination. 

TIPS:

  • You may enter up to 10 alpha-numeric characters.
  • The default value is the loan number used during origination, but you can change it in the step above.
  • Click NEXT in blue boxNext to bring up Prepaid Payments Handling.
  • Select how to handle Prepaid Payments. You have two options:
    • I will transfer the funds manually at a later time.
    • Transfer the amount of prepaid payments from the origination trust account to the servicing trust account.

TIP: This step is only shown if the loan terms have prepaid payments.

  • After choosing an option, click NEXT in blue box Next to bring up the Loan Export Assistant.
  • Click Finish Finish to have the loan exported to the running Loan Servicing module.
  • Click OK OK when finished.

How to find the exported loan in the running Loan Servicing module:

  • Click on running Loan Servicing in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®.
  • Click the Loans drop-down. 
  • Scroll down to All Loans and click on it to display the All Loans grid.

TIP: If the loan you want to export is not visible, use the grid's page-scroll bar to scroll the contents, or click FindSearch icon box Find in the upper right to search for the loan by entering your own search criteria. For additional information see How to Use Find and How to Use the Data Grids.

  • Click on the loan. The top of the All Loans page contains a series of icons that you can click on to perform different actions. 
    • Or double-click on the loan to bring up the loan file page. This allows you to edit any of the loan information by navigating through the different tabs on the left. 
  • On any page you've made changes to click APPLY Apply to save or Cancel icon_NO border_r Cancel to discard the changes.
