How to set up lender ACH information?

This article discusses how to enter lender ACH information in lender files.

The first step in enabling The Mortgage Office® to process electronic payments for lenders is to enter the pertinent ACH information for each participating lender.

This section assumes that you have already set up one or more bank accounts with the necessary ACH information. To learn how to set up one or more bank accounts for electronic payment processing read the ACH Express section.

To enter Lender ACH information:

  • Click on running Loan Servicing in the navigation panel of The Mortgage Office®.
  • Scroll down to All Lenders and click on it. This will bring up a grid of all lenders.
  • From the grid, select the lender you want to modify.

TIP: If the record you want to edit is not visible, go to the bottom-right-hand side of the All Lenders screen and use the page-scroll bar to find the record, or click the Find box FindSearch icon boxat the top-right-hand side of the screen to search for the record by entering your own search criteria.   • Double-click on the lender or choose the Edit icon image-png-Jun-23-2023-06-12-43-2340-AMfrom the menu choices near the top left of the All Lenders screen, which will bring up the Lender screen.
  • Click the ACH tab located near the top of the Terms from drop-down on Borrower page- Lender page.
  • Enter the following information: 

    TIP: Enter the Routing number before any other information. When a new routing number is entered, it is matched against a database of U.S. Bank Routing Numbers containing thousands of records, and if a match is found, the bank's name and address are automatically updated, saving some data entry.

    Field: Description:

    Bank Name

    Enter the bank's name. (Maximum of 50 characters)

    Bank Address

    Enter the bank's address. (Maximum of 255 characters)

    Bank Routing Number

    Enter the number of the bank or financial institution where the lender’s payment is to be deposited. This is often times referred to as the routing number. (Maximum of 9 characters)

    Refer to the image below to locate the lender's bank routing number from a sample check.

    Account Number

    Enter the number of the bank account where the lender's payment is to be deposited. (Maximum of 17 characters) Refer to the image above to locate the lender's bank account number from a sample check. 

    Individual Id

    This field is read-only but shows the lender's account number. (Maximum of 15 characters)

    Individual Name

    Enter the lender's name. (Maximum of 22 characters)

    Account Type

    Select Checking or Savings or GL Payment (Credit) from the drop-down menu.

    Service Status

    Indicates the status of the lender's ACH account. Select one of the following from the list:

    • None
    • Active
    • Cancelled
    • Hold

    Check this box to generate paper notifications of electronic deposits for this lender.

    Send E-mail Notification of Deposit image-png-Jun-17-2023-04-30-20-6440-AM

    Check this box to generate electronic (e-mail) notifications of electronic deposits for this lender.

    • Click the Apply icon image-png-Jun-23-2023-06-15-47-1317-AM near the top-right-hand side of the Lender page. This will save all of your changes.
