How to edit history in a lender file?

This article discusses how to edit history in a lender file.

CAUTION: Please be advised that making changes directly to a transaction record is not recommended and may create discrepancies throughout the system. You should consider reversing the transaction instead.

To add or edit lender history:

    • Click on running Loan Servicing in the left-hand navigation panel of The Mortgage Office®.
    • Click on All Lenders.
    • From the grid, select the record you want to modify.

TIP: If the record you want to edit is not visible, go to the bottom-right-hand side of the All Lenders screen and use the page-scroll bar to find the record, or click the Find box FindSearch icon box at the top-right-hand side of the screen to search for the record by entering your own search criteria. For additional information see How to Use Find and How to Use the Data Grids.

    • Double-click on the lender or choose the Edit icon edit from the menu choices near the top left of the All Lenders screen.
      • You can also click the history History icon in the top panel to open the loan history without the loan file.
    • In the Lender file, click history History from the vertical menu on the left.
    • From the grid, select the record you want to edit.
    • Click edit Edit or double-click the record to open the edit window.

NOTE: Most fields are read-only as those are material facts in the lender history. Keep in mind that changes should not be made to history records that alter material facts. For example: you change the reference number if you realize that the value entered was incorrect. This change coincides with factual information.

      • Edit the information as needed.
      • Click OK OK to save the changes or CANCEL Cancel to abort.
