Technical Reference Guide: Lender Portal Publishing & Configuration
This guide provides an overview for supporting users in configuring and publishing content to The Mortgage Office’s Lender Portals. It covers essential workflows for publishing attachments, managing portal access, and addressing common configuration questions.
Access and Login Details
First we'll look at locating the Company ID / Publish ID / Customer WPC ID:
- Found under Online Portal > Options in the TMO PRO interface.
- The Publish Id (e.g., “WEBID”) determines the URL endpoint. (see screenshot below)
- Important: Publish ID varies by database. Users need to confirm which database is active to provide accurate login guidance to lenders.
- For additional details on locating and utilizing Publish ID's, please refer to our How to Locate Publish ID's article.
URL Structure and Portal IDs
There are two common URL types, 1) a dedicated company URL, and 2) a generic login URL:
1. Dedicated Company URLs (e.g., https://lenders.themortgageoffice.com/login?coid=WEBID)
- Company ID is embedded in the URL at the end.
- In this example, replace “WEBID” with the database's Publish ID.
- NOTE: When using the dedicated Company URL, the login page will pre-populate the company’s logo and contact information (when available).
2. Generic Login Pages (e.g., https://lenders.themortgageoffice.com/)
- No visible company ID in the URL.
- With this URL, Lenders must input their Company ID, Account ID, and PIN manually.
Account Identification
NOTE: The Login/PIN lenders used for the old Lenders View Central will remain the same in the new portal.
Lenders will log in using:
- Their Account ID, which they are familiar with. For reference, this is the ACCOUNT column on the Pro > LS > All Lenders grid.
- A PIN or password, typically set as the last 4 digits of their TIN or randomly generated by the servicer.
- TIP: Password/PIN resets can be accomplished from Pro > Online Portals > Lenders. Then highlight the record, Actions (lightning bolt) > Assign random pin > Transmit
Publishing Attachments to the Lender Portal
Here we'll take a look at how to Upload & Publish existing and new Attachments to Portals
Uploading and Publishing New Docs or Attachments
- Navigate to the LS > Lenders section of PRO.
- Open a lender profile and switch to the Attachments tab.
- Users can use the New button to upload attachments.
Once an attachment is uploaded:
- A checkbox will appear indicating “Publish to Lender Portal.”
- Checking this box will instantly publish the document to the portal—no need to transmit.
Existing Docs or Attachments
Similar to the above, users will now see a “Publish to Lender Portal” checkbox. Checking this box will instantly publish the document to the portal—no need to transmit.
Publishing Reports at time of generation (e.g., Lender Statement of Account)
- In Tasks and Reports, generate a report such as a lender statement or Notification of Electronic Deposit
- During the final step, enable:
- “Create Attachment” – saves it to the Lender profile > attachments tab for future reference.
- “Publish to Portal” – makes it immediately accessible in the portal.
Transmitting Portal Changes
Key Behavior:
- Most portal updates (e.g., loan file changes, publishing new lenders, transaction history) require a manual “Transmit” to reflect on the web.
- Exception: Attachments published via the checkbox update immediately — no transmission needed.
- Tip: Ensure your portal managers understand the need to transmit changes regularly to avoid confusion from outdated portal content.
Message Center
Messages from Lenders can be viewed and responded to directly within TMO.
- Navigate to the Messages area to:
- View incoming portal messages.
- Reply directly from the interface.
