How to set up Office 365 Multi-Factor authentication?

How to set up up Office 365 Multi-Factor authentication to work in tangent with The Mortgage Office®.

After enabling multi-Factor authentication on your Office 365 account, do the following:

  • Log in to your Office 365 portal.
  • In the upper right-hand corner, select your profile icon and click "View account".
  • Click "Manage security & privacy".

  • Click the "Additional security verification" option to reveal an option to "Create and manage app passwords".

  • After clicking on "Create and manage app passwords" you will have the option to create one or more passwords. 

  • Click create, enter "TMO" for the name, then click next.

  • The next screen will show you the newly generated password that you will use as the password in TMO. 
    • Please save it somewhere before closing the screen- once the screen is closed there is no way to get back to it. 
    • You will have to generate a new password if you close the screen without saving the password.
