How to view and delete funding history in a loan file?

This article discusses how to view and delete funding history in a loan file.

TIP: The Mortgage Office® maintains a detailed history, per loan, of all funding transactions. It uses this information to calculate individual lender ownership for any period and to accurately compute and assess finance charges to the borrower.

To view funding history:

  • Click on the image-png-Jul-14-2023-12-46-04-6535-AM Loan Servicing drop-down menu in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®.
  • Click the Loans drop-down menu. 
  • Click All Loans from the list that drops down. 
  • From the All Loans grid, select the loan you want to view. 

TIP: If the record you want to edit is not visible, use the grid's vertical scroll bar to scroll the contents of the grid up or down, or click FindSearch icon box Find to search for the record by entering your own search criteria.   • Click edit from the options available on top panel or double-click on the loan.
  • Click dollar-sign-solidFunding from the list on the left of the window.v
  • Click history to drop-down a list of options.
  • Click on the relevant option you want to view.

TIP: You can select to view All Funding History or the funding history for the selected lender.

  • Click black X Exit to close the window and exit.

To delete a funding:

CAUTION: Fundings must be deleted starting with the most recent transaction. All transactions that affected ownership, like principal paydowns, must also be deleted or reversed in the same chronological order in which they were entered.

  • Click the Loans drop-down menu. 
  • Click All Loans from the list that drops down. 
  • From the All Loans grid, select the loan you want to view.

  • Click history to drop-down a list of options.
  • Click on the relevant option you want to view.
  • Select the funding record you want delete and click delete Delete.

NOTE: Why is the delete button disabled?

Conventional loans: the delete delete button is disabled if the funding transaction is BalFwd or the funding date is less than the loan's paid-to date.

CAUTION: Deleting the funding will cause all related fundings, loan charges, loan history and trust accounting transactions to be deleted as well.

  • Click YES button Yes to confirm.
  • In the Confirm Delete dialog window, type the word Delete and click OK.
  • Click black X Exit to close the window and exit.
