How to use the commercial loans grid?

This article discusses how to use the Commercial Loans Grid.

The Commercial Loans Grid enables you to quickly and easily perform many functions including adding, editing, and deleting loans.

To access the commercial loans grid:

  • Click running Loan Servicing in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®.
  • Click the Loans drop-down.
  • Click on Commercial. 
  • The following options are available:
Button: Description:
add Click to add a loan file. For additional information, see Adding Loans.
edit Click to edit a loan file. For information on what data is contained in a loan file, see Editing Loans.
delete

Click to delete a loan file. For additional information, see Deleting Loans

CAUTION: When you delete a record, the information is permanently removed from the database. Once a record is deleted it cannot be recovered.

action

Click to display a list of available actions. Most selections apply to the currently selected loan. The available actions are:

  • Regular Payment
  • Payoff Payment
  • Other Cash: From Borrower
  • Other Cash: From Lender
  • Principal Paydown
  • Adjustments
  • Automated Payments (ACH)
  • Automated Payments (LOCKBOX)
  • Add Funding
  • Add Charges
history Click to display the loan history.

Click to display a list of printing actions. Note that some of the actions are loan-type sensitive. The available options are:

  • Name & Address Listing
  • Mailing Labels
  • Print Statement for selected Loan 
  • Print Statement for Multiple Borrowers 
  • Print Account Closing Statement (Commercial)
  • Demand for Payoff
  • Reinstatement Calculation
  • Amortization Schedule (Loan)
  • Amortization Schedule (Loan & Lender)
  • Loan Master Report
  • Loan Validation Report
  • Payment Register
  • Payment Receipts
  • Payment Statements
  • Payment Coupons
export-to-excel  Click to export the contents of the grid to Microsoft Excel.
write-letters Click to write letters to all or multiple borrowers.
email Click to send an email to the addresses in the selected loan's e-mail field.
map Click to display a map with directions to the primary borrower's address.
conversation-log Click to log conversations with the selected loan. 
notes Click to enter notes for the selected loan.
reminder Click to display all Reminders or just the ones for the selected loan.
Click to filter the grid and show records which fulfill the filter criteria.
customize-grid Click to customize the loan grid. Opens a window where you can change the display order of the grid columns and whether they are displayed or not.
refresh Click to refresh the contents of the grid.

TIP: Find helps you to quickly find items in one or more columns and apply a filter to the grid. Simply start typing the information you are looking for and watch the grid display only the records matching the criteria. To learn more, click here

 

NOTE: The grid's contents can be sorted in various ways by clicking any of the grid's column headers. If you click the same column header more than once, the sort will alternate between ascending and descending order.
