How to set up vendor ACH information?

This article will explain the process of setting up Vendor ACH information.

The first step in enabling The Mortgage Office® to process electronic payments for vendors is to enter the pertinent ACH information for each participating vendor.

This section assumes that you have already set up one or more bank accounts with the necessary ACH information. To learn how to set up one or more bank accounts for electronic payment processing read the ACH Express section.

To enter Vendor ACH information:

  • Click on running Loan Servicing in the left-hand navigation panel of The Mortgage Office®.
  • Scroll down to All Vendors and click on it. This will bring up the All Vendors grid. 
  • From the grid, select the record you want to modify.

TIP: If the record you want to edit is not visible, go to the bottom-right-hand side of the All Vendors screen and use the page-scroll bar to find the record, or click the Find box FindSearch icon box at the top-right-hand side of the screen to search for the record by entering your own search criteria.   • Double-click on the vendor or choose the Edit icon image-png-Jun-23-2023-06-12-43-2340-AMfrom the menu choices near the top left of the All Vendors screen, which will open the vendor record.
  • Click the ACH tab located near the top of the Terms from drop-down on Borrower page- Vendor page.
  • Enter the following information:

TIP: Enter the Routing number before any other information. When a new routing number is entered, it is matched against a database of U.S. Bank Routing Numbers containing thousands of records, and if a match is found, the bank's name and address are automatically updated, saving some data entry.

Field:

Description:

Bank Name

Enter the bank's name. (Maximum of 64 characters)

Bank Address

Enter the bank's address. (Maximum of 255 characters)

Routing Number

Enter the number of the bank or financial institution where the vendor’s payment is to be deposited. This is oftentimes referred to as the routing number. (Maximum of 9 characters)

Account Number

Enter the number of the bank account where the vendor's payment is to be deposited. (Maximum of 17 characters)

Refer to the image above to locate the holder's bank account number from a sample check. 

Individual Id

Enter the vendor's account number. (Maximum of 50 characters)

Individual Name

Enter the vendor's name. (Maximum of 50 characters)

Account Type

Select Checking or Savings or GL Deposit (Credit) from the drop-down menu.

Service Status

Indicates the status of the vendor's ACH account. Select one of the following from the drop-down menu:

  • None
  • Active
  • Cancelled
  • Hold

Send Printed Notification of Deposit blank check box

Check this box to generate paper notifications of electronic deposits for this vendor.

Send Email Notification of Deposit blank check box

Check this box to generate electronic (email) notifications of electronic deposits for this vendor.

  • Click the Apply icon image-png-Jun-23-2023-06-15-47-1317-AM near the top-right-hand side of the Vendor page. This will save all of your changes.
