NOTE: **1098 Mortgage Interest: Due dates.** Furnish **Copy B** of this form to the recipient by **January 31.** File **Copy A** of this form with the IRS by **February 28.** If you file electronically, the due date is March 31. To file electronically, you must have software that generates a file according to the specifications in Pub. 1220, Specifications for Filing Forms 1098, 1099, 5498, and W-2G Electronically or Magnetically. IRS does not provide a fill-in form option. ### To print tax forms: - Click on ![](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-08-2023-06-55-28-7824-AM.png?width=18&height=23&name=image-png-Sep-08-2023-06-55-28-7824-AM.png) **Loan Servicing** in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®. - Scroll to the bottom of the navigation panel and select one of the following: - **1098 Mortgage Interest** - **1099-INT Interest Income** - **1099-MISC Miscellaneous Income** - **1099-NEC Nonemployee Compensation** - Select the relevant tax **year** from the drop-down in the top right of the window. - Highlight by clicking on a **batch** from the list of records in the grid. - Click ![users](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Icons/users.png?width=15&height=15&name=users.png) **Open Payers** from the options in the menu at the top of the page. - Click the ![print](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Icons/print.png?width=19&height=19&name=print.png) **Print** icon. - Select ![print tax forms, no button](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/print%20tax%20forms%2c%20no%20button.png?width=25&height=17&name=print%20tax%20forms%2c%20no%20button.png) **Print Tax Forms** from the drop-down. - The **Print** dialog window provides the following options: - **![blue circle around blue dot](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/blue%20circle%20around%20blue%20dot.png?width=18&height=18&name=blue%20circle%20around%20blue%20dot.png) Print All Tax Forms.** - Select this option to print all tax forms. - **![blue circle around blue dot](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/blue%20circle%20around%20blue%20dot.png?width=18&height=18&name=blue%20circle%20around%20blue%20dot.png) Print Tax Forms for Flagged Records Only.** - Select this option to print tax forms for only the ![orange flag, no border](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/orange%20flag%2c%20no%20border.png?width=19&height=19&name=orange%20flag%2c%20no%20border.png) **flagged** records. - **![blue circle around blue dot](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/blue%20circle%20around%20blue%20dot.png?width=18&height=18&name=blue%20circle%20around%20blue%20dot.png) Print Tax Forms for Highlighted Record Only.**  - Select this option to print a single tax form for the selected record. NOTES: - Tax forms must be printed and mailed before **January 31.** Copy A may not need to be printed if you're required to file electronically with the Internal Revenue Service. The forms can be printed for all or selected records. - Before printing the forms, it is strongly recommended that you use the![alignment button, blue, no border](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/alignment%20button%2c%20blue%2c%20no%20border.png?width=76&height=26&name=alignment%20button%2c%20blue%2c%20no%20border.png) **Alignment** button to make sure the printing is properly aligned with your forms. - Use the drop-down to select which **copy** you wish to print. NOTE: Copies A, B, and C have formatting differences. - Click ![Print button](https://help.themortgageoffice.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Print%20button.png?width=72&height=24&name=Print%20button.png) **Print** to preview, print, or email the document. CAUTION: In order to print the tax forms correctly, you do need the **correct format** of paper to print on. ABS can provide the correct format for a fee.
