How to print an audit report for tax filing?

This part of the documentation discusses how to print the audit report.

TIP: This report should be printed and carefully reviewed before printing the tax forms or filing electronically.

To print the audit report:

  • Click on Loan Servicing in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the navigation panel and select one of the following:
    • 1098 Mortgage Interest
    • 1099-INT Interest Income
    • 1099-MISC Miscellaneous Income
    • 1099-NEC Nonemployee Compensation
  • Select the relevant tax year from the drop-down in the top right of the window.
  • Highlight by clicking on a batch from the list of records in the grid. 
  • Click users Open Payers from the options in the menu at the top of the page.
  • Click the print Print icon.
  • Click print Print Audit Report. 
  • This will open the Audit Report for review, so you can correct any missing information or mistakes directly within the loan file. 
    • If you correct information by clicking on the record in the Payers list and not directly within the record, that corrected information will not save upon re-importing and will have to be recorrected. 
  • Click CLOSE black button with no border Close when finished with the report. 
  • Once the information is corrected, you should re-import that information. Learn how to import here
