The MISMO Data XML is a flexible and widely used standard file type that utilizes Extensible Markup Language (XML) to transport and store data. It was created by the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO®) in order to simplify the way businesses exchange electronic data.
The MISMO Data XML report provides users with the entire data set for all loans, pool or commitment data for selected pools or commitments. The Mortgage Office® makes it easy to import MISMO files and loan data into your database with our MISMO File Import Assistant.
To import the MISMO file:
- Click on
Loan Servicing in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®. - Click Tasks & Reports in the menu on the left side of the page.
- Under the Import: From File section, click
MISMO File. - Click
Browse and navigate to the folder on your computer where the import file resides and select it. - Click Open in the file explorer to select the file for importing.
- Click
Next. - Review the imported information in the Import Assistant to ensure it's correct.
- Click Next.
- Click
Import File. - You will see the following success message: "Congratulations! You have successfully transferred the loan to The Mortgage Office."
- Click
OK. - Click
Cancel or the 
in the corner to exit the assistant.
