How to import a Fannie Mae data file?

This article discusses how to import a Fannie Mae file.

Fannie Mae 3.2 files are the standard in porting mortgage data between sources, there is no mapping required by the user to import them. The Mortgage Office® makes it easy to import FNM files and loan data into your database with our FNMA File Import Assistant.

To import the Fannie Mae file: 

  • Click on running Loan Servicing in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®.
  • Click Tasks & Reports in the menu on the left side of the page.
  • Under the Import: From File section, click blank Excel box with X FNMA File. 
  • Click BROWSE button, grey with border Browse and navigate to the folder on your computer where the import file resides and select it.
  • Click Open in the file explorer to select the file for importing. 
  • Click NEXT blue button without border Next. 
  • Review the imported information in the Import Assistant to ensure it's correct. 
  • Click NEXT blue button without border Next. 
  • Click image-png-Jun-16-2023-08-59-19-7139-PM Import File.
  • You will see the following success message: "Congratulations! You have successfully transferred the loan to The Mortgage Office."
  • Click OK OK
  • Click CANCEL Cancel or the black X Exit in the corner to exit the assistant.
