How to generate the trust fund status report for a trust account?
This article discusses how to generate the Trust Fund Status Report for a Trust Account.
NOTE: This report is required from all real estate brokers in California who engage in mortgage loan activities as specified in section 10131(d) and (e) of the California Business and Professions Code. Threshold brokers must submit this report to the California Department of Real Estate (DRE).
NOTE: A real estate broker who meets the criteria of subdivision (a) of Section 10232 shall, within 30 days after the end of each of the first three fiscal quarters of the broker’s fiscal year, or within such additional time as the Real Estate Commissioner may allow for good cause, file with the commissioner a Trust Fund Status Report as of the last day of the fiscal quarter.
To print the Trust Fund Status Report:
- Click the
Trust Accounts drop-down in the left panel of The Mortgage Office®.
- Click Tasks & Reports from the menu located on the left of the window.
- Under the Management Reports section, click
Trust Fund Status Report.
- Check the
box next to the Trust Account to select or deselect a specific Trust Account(s).
- Click the Select All or Clear All hyperlinks to select all accounts or clear all selections respectively.
TIP: The list only includes Trust Accounts set to Active.
- Select the Reporting Period:
- Enter your company's Fiscal Year Starting Date.
- Select 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th Quarter.
- The Quarter Ending Date is displayed according to the criteria above.
- Click
to open a print preview window containing the Trust Funds Status Report or click the RE855 or RE856 buttons to print the specific State Forms.
